When Vokalu fits

Vokalu lets you use formatted dictation on Windows without choosing a monthly allowance. One hour of speech costs $1.20 before tax. You buy prepaid credit in $5, $10, or $20 top-ups, so the amount paid at checkout can be more than that month’s usage.

Run a trial that tells you something

Try a long AI prompt, a short email, and a correction to selected text. Check whether the features you like belong to the trial, Pro, or Max. Use a normal week of your speech minutes to estimate the monthly bill.

Keep track of the time from starting a dictation to having text you would actually send. Include corrections. A fast transcript that needs two minutes of editing may be a worse fit than a slower first result you can use immediately.
